These are some of the values that are important to us.

Prayer:

We are convinced that apart from God we can do nothing that is spiritually profitable.  That has been made clear to us through our own experience and more importantly through the Scriptures.  Because of that, we are becoming more and more of a praying people.  We want to express our dependence on God through trusting prayer.

Enjoying Jesus Christ:

We enjoy Jesus and we make it our goal to pursue a greater and greater delight in Christ with everything we have got. We want to enjoy Him as individuals throughout the week and hope our gatherings will become times where we find our joy in Him together.

Fearing God:

We are not content with simply learning more facts about God, we want to know Him and live lives of wonder-filled awe at His greatness.

Pursuing Community:

Without love, we are nothing. Love is the highest mark of Christian maturity, and so we place a huge emphasis on developing friendships, caring for one another, listening, hospitality, good deeds, and sharing life together

Studying the Word:

The Bible is at the heart of all we do.  We want to always be talking about its truths. And we're not only talking about pastors. We are praying God will develop relationships within the church that are saturated by a seriousness about God’s Word

Concerned Evangelism:

When you love someone, you are concerned about their good and you work hard at helping them. We don't speak the gospel to others simply because it is our duty or to somehow earn approval with God but instead because we know the love of God ourselves and care for the people around us.  Our church is vigorously involved in evangelism that is primarily relationship based.

Growing through Biblical Relationships:

We believe the Holy Spirit changes people through people.   Christ has given his church leaders to equip believers to join in God’s work of personal transformation. In a biblical model, much more informal, personal ministry goes on than formal ministry.  We believe God has gifted His people to help one another.  Our times of formal, public ministry are designed to help God’s people learn to minister to one another.

Sacrificial Compassion:

We believe one of the reasons Jesus died was that we would be zealous for good deeds and so we place a great priority on individually and corporately learning to demonstrate the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ to others in tangible ways.  We want to love our neighbor by looking out for their good and being willing to make sacrifices to help them. We take very seriously the test of pure religion that James gives us in James 1:27.  We will not see our attitude towards the vulnerable and the suffering as something separate from our worship of God, an optional activity, but one of the chief ways God has given us to worship and glorify Him.

Multi-Cultural Friendships:

We hope to enjoy fellowship among believers from a variety of cultural backgrounds, more than that, we pursue it.

Thinking like Missionaries:

We want to pursue growth the early church way, primarily through people becoming believers.  Specifically we want to follow a multi-faceted approach to evangelism: building relationships, sharing the gospel, and introducing people to the church community. We believe that following Jesus’ model of ministry demands that we find biblically appropriate means of meeting people where they are at.   In the world, it is typical for the powerful to force the needy to change to suit their desires.  In the church, the advantaged should disadvantage themselves for the good of their neighbour. We believe it is not enough to simply be neutral towards those who are hurting.  Instead, the church must learn to see needs and make radical sacrifices to help those in need.
